Guided visits
1h30-long visits provide a fascinating insight into the exhibitions or the permanent collection and shed light on wide-ranging questions.
A Guided museum tour in English is scheduled in the permanent collection on Sunday at 3pm from mid-May, through June, July and mid-August.
Thematic tours of the permanent collection in French are programmed each season. They enable visitors to see works in a new light, discover different Jewish cultures and understand religious traditions. Some visits are part of the thematic tours organised jointly with other museums. The “Shabbat est une fête” visits, programmed the first Saturday of each month, from October to June, at 3pm, are free of charge.
Generally speaking, the visits programmed for individuals are accessible to visitors with reduced mobility, who can use the lifts to reach each floor. They can be attended by hearing-impaired persons (our audiophones can be equipped with an induction loop).

Extramural tours
Two-hours tours in English bring to life a Paris’s ancient Jewish quarter at different periods of its existence, exploring its architecture and urban development, highlighting leading figures of its economic and cultural history and illustrating ways of being Jewish during different periods. They are an opportunity to reflect on this rich history and how people of different cultures can live together.
These extramural tours require participants to have no mobility difficulties. Hearing-impaired persons with a hearing aid with the “t-switch” or “telecoil” feature can participate with prior notification (our audiophones can be equipped with an induction loop on demand).
Note: extramural tours are not cancelled due to bad weather. Participants must be at the meeting point ten minutes before the tour is scheduled to begin. Only participants with tickets are accepted by the guide-lecturer.
