CLERMONT-FERRAND, FRANCE - JEAN ZAY, France's war-time Minister of Education, whom a military court martial today found guilty of deserting the French Army. Zay was the first prominent French figure to be tried and found guilty on any of the charges raised by the Vichy Government after the French Armistice. This photo vas taken in 1939.
